What this site is

apexmath.app started as a personal side project during my junior year of high school. I was juggling AP Calculus, AP Chemistry, and two after-school jobs, and I kept bouncing between six different tabs to get through a single homework session — a Pomodoro timer in one tab, Desmos in another, a unit converter, a periodic table, Khan Academy for the concept I forgot, and eventually something totally unrelated for the five minutes between problem sets. It was exhausting, and every "study" site I found was either buried in ads or locked behind a $9/month subscription for features that should have been free.

So I built the tool I wished existed: a single page that opens fast, has the math utilities a real student uses, a focus timer that doesn't nag you, and — yes — a small arcade for the mental breaks that actually help you retain material. There's real science behind spaced breaks (see our Pomodoro guide); five minutes of something dumb between two 25-minute focus blocks is not procrastination, it's how memory consolidation works.

What's on the site

The home page has the focus timer and quick-access math tools. The study guides section has original written material — how to actually break down a word problem, how the unit circle works, why the Pomodoro method exists. The arcade hosts embedded games from licensed publishers (CrazyGames, Poki, Miniplay) for the break intervals. The browser is a sandbox tab for opening study sites like Desmos, Wikipedia, or Khan Academy without leaving your workspace.

How it's funded

There are no subscriptions, no accounts, no email walls. The site is free and supported by display advertising. If you use an ad blocker, that's fine — the site still works.
